Band Meeting Recap

All hallows eve greetings to you all,

 

If you missed our booster meeting, you missed out on a bunch of fun!  

 

- Our budget for the year was approved (for the third time),

- 2 volunteers stepped up for the responsibilities of the bake sale fundraiser,

- we announced the uniform change for the fall season

          (Please purchase before November 11th Dickies brand flat front black pants, no extra pocket,

            no cargo, no pleats, no cuff),

- we discussed our crazy early 6:40 am practice this Tuesday and next Monday,

          I've sent the flyer about the practices as well as our most recent schedule for the year.  

- Please plan on buying shin high all black socks before the 11th with no decorations, designs or

          logos.

- Color guard needs all white ankle socks with no decorations, designs or logos, white shorts with no

          pockets, buttons or zippers and a white tank top or sports bra.

 

This is our last call for the marching shoes bulk rate discount order.

Marching Practice

Before school!!!

October 28^th from 6:40-7:40 am &

November 3^rd from 6:40-7:40 am

All music program students

 

Students will be preparing for two community parades coming up in November and December as

well as learning appreciation for the history of our military and how it relates to band.  This will require some understanding in marching basics.  I know it’s early, but we want to try to be the best we can in a very short time.  Students are asked to have the performance piece, Washington Post, memorized as soon as possible.  Please have sensible footwear and appropriate clothing for the climate of the day.  Also, make sure instruments are assembled and all necessary equipment is ready before the practice starts.
