This email is to inform you about present and future events as well as an idea of what winter guard is.

These are the purchases that the Winter guard
mom, Nicole Fonda, has bought. She will be reimbursed by the band booster as
well as you*.
This is the top that your daughter will be wearing.
Due to the one shouldered layout, a strapless undergarment is highly
recommended.
Rifles will be incorporated into the routine along
with dance and flag work.

Make up is a key part of the performance, please
provide your child with foundation, mascara, and eyeliner.
It will ONLY be used by your daughter.
Since we will be performing on the bare gym floor, rules are that the performers must wear shoes at all times. These jazz shoes can be found at the local Payless Shoes stores. Please have ready no later than the first week of February.

*Saturday rehearsals are
not mandatory but are highly recommended. That day is where the
majority of the routine are taught. If your child is not able to attend, please
send a note beforehand. Your child will then be required to have a make-up
session to catch up.

Quick reminders
Your daughter was given a homework packet with the
above information on Tuesday. Please read/review it with her. The due date
was Thursday, and since it is late, points will be deducted. If it is completed,
please have her bring it to tomorrow's first Saturday rehearsal which
begins @ 10am at Our Lady of Mercy.
